Backplate
The stainless steel backplate - 10.010.100 incorporates a single piece of continuous webbing and is the foundation of the Halcyon MC Wing System. Webbing includes stainless steel buckle.
Halcyon's hard coated aluminium backplate - 10.020.100 offers the advantages of a lighter weight backplate with military spec hard coating to prevent corrosion when exposed to saltwater.

Active Control Ballast
Ditch that cumbersome weight belt and discover the benefits of the Halcyon MC's Active Control Ballast™ weighting system. Available in two configurations - ACB 20 (10 lbs/side) 12.100.020 and ACB 12 (6 lbs/side) 12.100.012 capacity.
 

• Mounts on any backplate/wing BC waist belt with a simple tri-glide connection providing a solid connection to the waist belt while allowing easy installation and removal. Helios and Proteus lights slide up next to the backplate when using the ACB

• Side release weight pocket buckle prevents accidental weight loss and allows the diver or dive buddy to quickly release and/or replace part or all of their ballast as the need requires

Trim Weight System (pockets) - 12.320.005

More than half of all diving fatalities occur at the surface. Sadly, most divers believe that jacket-style BCDs provide proper surface floatation when, in fact, a divers surface position principally relates to their weight distribution. A nearly empty aluminium cylinder will usually float an unconscious diver face-down regardless of the BC worn. However, the Halcyon Trim Weighting Kit promotes heads-up surface airway protection by counteracting the positive tendency of buoyant cylinders.

• Shifting weight from a diver's waist toward their centre, such as with a stainless Halcyon Backplate or trim weight system, facilitates horizontal diver trim and reduces drag
