Defender Spools

Defender spools are one of many unique products introduced by Halcyon. The Halcyon Defender spool blends uncompromising quality with ideal weight characteristics, allowing ease of deployment and years of trouble-free use. Halcyon Defender spools are equally at home navigating through caves or shooting a surface marker while ascending from your favourite ocean dive.

Key Features of the Defender Spool

  • Milled from a solid piece of Delrin for durability and balance
  • Stainless Steel 3 ¾” double-end bolt snap for easy attachment
  • Defender spools come with #24 braided nylon line and are available in the following sizes:
    75’ (23m)
    100’ (30m)
    150’ (46m)

Coldwater Defender Spool

Thick gloves and cold fingers can make it difficult to use a spool; gloved fingers overlap the edge of the spool and cold hands make it hard to grip small edges. Halcyon solved this problem by creating the industry’s only built-in handle. The flanged edge around the Halcyon coldwater spindle allows the spool's double-ender to act as a handle.

Key Features of the Coldwater Defender Spool

  • Large centre hole with unique flared side flange
  • Milled from a solid piece of Delrin for durability and balance
  • Stainless Steel, 3 ¾” double-end bolt snap for easy attachment
  • Defender Coldwater spools come with #24 braided nylon line and are available in the following sizes:
    100’ (30m)
    150’ (46m)

Line Arrows

The slightly oversized Halcyon line arrow provides reliable performance in an easily managed form factor. A slightly rough finish makes for easy marking on one side with the second side containing an unobtrusive blue "H" logo.
